GP Exercise Referral Scheme
MYFITLAB®
An exercise referral, otherwise known as GP referral, is the process of a medical or health professional referring a patient to a fitness programme.
A patient will usually have a specific medical condition or a long-term health problem and will be referred by a medical professional (usually your GP or a Private Medical Practitioner) on the basis that increased physical activity will benefit your health.

This is more than just a recommendation to exercise and is a way to improve your overall health and wellbeing. Exercise referral is a scheme in which an exercise programme is designed by a GP Referral Specialist like MyFitLab based on the specific needs of an individual patient.
My FitLab can provide bespoke exercise prescription for clients with an identified clinical need – specialising in those diagnosed with heart disease, diabetes or women’s’ health conditions
The overall aim of this scheme is to improve your health and well-being, and to encourage you to lead a more active lifestyle moving forwards. Through exercise therapy, I will support the benefits of your treatment and improve the speed and quality of your recovery.
